In my opinion, that was the best of all the Star Wars play sets. The 3.0 Star Wars starter pack comes with 2 figures and 1 play set (Twilight of the Republic). The games are fun, but Avengers is the star of the show. But it also includes 2 toy box games, which are smaller in scale than play sets. The 2.0 Marvel starter pack also comes with 3 figures but only 1 play set (Avengers). So that would give you some good variety and a good idea of what the game is like. The 1.0 starter pack comes with 3 figures and 3 full play sets: Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Monsters University. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. As someone else said, it depends on what your son enjoys. The Wii U has more memory than the Wii and HD graphics, so it's going to look and play better.Īs for which version of the game to get (1.0, 2.0, or 3.0), I own all three and I enjoy all three. I found the 2.0 base game a little underwhelming in comparison to the content in the DI 1.0 starter set, though the Ultimate Spider-Man Playset for DI 2.0 is one of my favourites in the whole DI franchise.ĭefinitely get the Wii U version. an ok game, especially for Marvel Superhero fans, though I don't think it offers the same diversity of content as version 1.0 or 3.0. the range of franchises and gameplay styles is superb, though the title has it's flaws that were smoothed out in the subsequent releases. Personally I love the original Disney Infinity game (1.0). The size of home-made Toy Box games is smaller than other platfforms and even the content of pre-made Playsets has been trimmed down to save on size. ĭue to the space limitations of the Wii platform, there is no local multiplayer in Play Sets, though there is multiplayer in any Toy Box levels you create.
